Is everbooking suitable for GDPR & Swiss DPA?
Yes. everbooking is designed to only collect the data required for booking, communication and billing. You configure hosting and processing with your provider according to GDPR/Swiss DPA.

Which personal data is stored?
Typically: name, email, phone, booked services and appointment history. No mandatory profiling fields or marketing data – you decide which fields are shown in the forms.

Does everbooking run on WordPress plugins or site builders?
No. everbooking is a lean standalone architecture without WordPress plugins or page builders. You attach it to your existing website via subdomain or links.

How is the connection secured?
Access is over HTTPS/TLS only. Security headers such as HSTS, CSP and secure cookies can be enabled so logins and bookings are protected against third-party access.

Which protection layers are built into the core?
The core includes CSRF protection, rate limiting, a min delay against bots, IP blocking, honeypot fields against spam and role guards for admin and staff.

Who has access to the data?
Access is role-based: admin, staff and customers. Each role can only see the areas needed for their work – for example, staff see their own appointments instead of all raw data.

Does everbooking require cookies or tracking?
It only uses technically required cookies for session and login. External tracking scripts (e.g. ad or social media pixels) are not built in and are only used if you intentionally add them.

How does the PWA work and is data stored offline?
The PWA mainly caches the shell, layout and static assets for fast loading. Sensitive content such as customer data and appointments is delivered via HTTPS from the server and is not stored offline in plain text by default.

Can I export or delete data (right to be forgotten)?
Yes. Customer data and appointment history can be exported or deleted once legal retention periods have passed, so you can handle GDPR/Swiss DPA requests properly.

Is data sold to third parties or used for advertising?
No. everbooking is a tool for your business, not a data monetisation platform. Usage data is not secretly used for advertising or resale.

How do email, SMS & push fit into data protection?
Emails, optional SMS and browser push are used solely for appointment handling (confirmation, reminders, feedback). Sending and logs are auditable and can be clearly covered in your privacy policy.
